The northern shaman is inspired by my maternal grandmother, who was herself the herbalist of a small village in Abitibi. This woman who raised me all my childhood was at the time called the village witch and treated humans and animals around.

She used to call me her little Tabatha, in reference to my beloved witch, and often said that I was her apprentice witch. She took me on her back, pick the medicinal plants she used.
